POLICE RECOVER STOLEN TOYOTA CAMRY AT IFO HOTEL, ARREST ONE SUSPECT

The Ogun State Police Command has recovered a stolen 2016 Toyota Camry from a hotel in Ifo less than eight hours after the vehicle was reported missing, with one suspect arrested in connection with the incident. According to the Command, the vehicle, belonging to an Indian national based at the Ilupeju Industrial Estate in Lagos, was allegedly stolen on September 9, 2026 , by the owner’s newly employed driver, identified as Waidi Olaide Kolawale . Police said Kolawale had been employed only two days before the incident and reportedly told his employer that he was taking the vehicle to a nearby vulcaniser to repair a tyre. He allegedly failed to return with the vehicle. Following the report, the vehicle was electronically tracked to the Ifo axis. POLICE ARREST TWO SUSPECTED CARJACKERS IN ATAN - OTA OGUN STATE, RECOVER 3 PISTOLS

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested two suspected members of a carjacking syndicate allegedly operating around Ota, Iju, Baba-Ode and Atan . The suspects, identified as Adeyinka Onakomaya, 46, and Olayiwola Kehinde, 48 , were arrested during follow-up investigations into a stolen Toyota Matrix recovered in April 2026. Police said three locally made pistols and 18 live cartridges were recovered from the suspects. According to the Command, preliminary investigations linked the suspects to several armed robbery and vehicle-snatching operations in the area. Community leaders, residents, and a licensed mining operator in Feru Community, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Ogun State, have appealed to the Federal Government to urgently intervene over a prolonged land ownership dispute they say has triggered repeated violence, alleged kidnappings, and attacks in the area. The licensed miner, Alhaji Gbenga Ibrahim Ibuoye, said he legally acquired about 166 acres of land for mining operations and invested heavily in the project, including constructing a 3-kilometre access road. OGUN POLICE RESCUE KIDNAP VICTIM, NEUTRALISE TWO SUSPECTED ABDUCTORS

The Ogun State Police Command has recorded another major breakthrough in the fight against kidnapping, successfully rescuing a victim who was abducted on June 11 at Ogbe Village. According to police authorities, the victim regained freedom unharmed on June 18 following a coordinated operation by the Command's Anti-Kidnapping Unit. During the operation, two suspected kidnappers were neutralised after reportedly engaging security operatives in a gun battle.
