Today, family, friends, colleagues, youth organizations and well-wishers celebrate Dr. Amb. Oluwarotimi George-Taylor on the occasion of his birthday and another year of growth, service and impact.
For young people in Ogun State and across Nigeria, his journey carries an important message: young Nigerians can participate meaningfully in politics and public service, earn a seat at the table, pursue education seriously and build careers that compete on a global stage. His story reinforces a principle he continues to champion — that school is not a scam, education still matters, and with preparation, hard work, opportunity and determination, young people can achieve far more than circumstances may initially suggest.
His path also reflects a generation of Nigerians contributing both at home and abroad. In the technology and cybersecurity space, he works with a U.S.-based company involved in advanced cybersecurity, including Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM/CDM-SIEM). Publicly available information from US ProTech states that its teams have presented CDM-SIEM cybersecurity concepts at the White House and Pentagon, while CISA describes CDM as a federal cybersecurity program designed to give U.S. agencies continuous visibility into cyber risks and vulnerabilities.
Beyond professional accomplishments, his story speaks to the possibility of a generation that can be educated, globally competitive, civically engaged and still committed to the development of its communities. For young people watching from Ogun State and across Nigeria, that example offers a hopeful reminder: there is room for young people at the table, and their voices, education, expertise and ideas can matter.
As he marks another year, the breadth of birthday messages received from youth, civic, security, educational and development organizations reflects the many communities with which his work and engagements have intersected.
