OTA, OGUN STATE — A group of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members in Ota has reportedly defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), with the development taking place at the LarryBash Secretariat in Okede, Ota.
According to a statement from the LarryBash camp, the defectors were led by an Apex leader of the PDP from Ota Ward 3 and were formerly associated with the political camp of the late Chief Akinde Dabiowu.
The group said their decision to join the APC was influenced by what they described as the developmental interventions of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) in Ogun West, as well as the political aspiration of Hon. Olanrewaju Bashorun, popularly known as LarryBash.
The defectors also said LarryBash's longstanding community engagement and support for residents before entering active politics contributed to their decision.
Speaking during the event, LarryBash welcomed the new members and assured them of integration into the APC structure.
