BREAKING: FEMALE PASSENGER CRUSHED TO DEATH ON AGbara–LUSADA EXPRESSWAY

A female passenger has reportedly lost her life in a fatal road accident along the Agbara–Lusada Expressway in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State.

The crash occurred at about 7:00 p.m. on Saturday around Cashier Bus Stop involving a white Howo heavy-duty truck and two motorcycles.

According to Ogun State TRACE spokesperson, Babatunde Akinbiyi, preliminary information indicates that one of the motorcycle riders was attempting to overtake the truck when the female passenger fell from the motorcycle and was subsequently crushed by the moving truck.

Five people were involved in the crash — three males and two females. Two victims, a male and a female, reportedly sustained injuries and were taken to a hospital by a good Samaritan.

SO-SAFE CORPS SMASHES DIESEL THEFT SYNDICATE IN ILARO, ARRESTS THREE SUSPECTS

Operatives of the Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps) have arrested three suspects allegedly involved in the theft and illegal purchase of diesel meant for a road construction project along Sokoto Road, Idogo, in Ilaro, Yewa South Local Government Area. According to the Corps, the operation followed weeks of intelligence gathering and surveillance after reports emerged that diesel allocated for the road project was being diverted and sold to a criminal network.
