The Federal High Court in Abeokuta has adjourned until November 3, 2026, a suit challenging Senator Iyabo Obasanjo’s recognition as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Ogun Central Senatorial District in the 2027 general election.

OTA, OGUN STATE — A group of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members in Ota has reportedly defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), with the development taking place at the LarryBash Secretariat in Okede, Ota.

  1. Meet Kazeem Owolabi Aina The 47-year-old graduate of Mining Engineering is a force to reckon with in the Chairmanship race of Ado-Odo/Ota LG. Having served as a Personal Assistant to a Federal Commissioner and a State Commissioner in his thirties, he believes he has the Political experience to run a Local Government. He has at two different occasions made attempt to represent Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency in the National Assembly but was told to hold on. Kazeem hails from Ota and was born into the family of Prince Aina Mohammed and Mrs. Saidat Adejoke of Ijemo-Isoloshi Royal family and Oke-Idota, Otun Ota respectively. He resigned as a Senior Mines Officer at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and currently runs Prince of Courage Nig. Ltd; a mining, haulage, and plant hiring company. Congratulations to an indigene of Otta, Aworiland. A two term honourable member of Ogun State House of Assembly (2011-2019), and a successful lawyer Hon (Barr.) Nurudeen Akinpelu Aina appointed into Ogun State Judicial Service Commission. 

Mixed reactions have continued to trail the introduction of N3,700 levy by the Ogun State Government for pupils in the government-owned secondary school in the state.

APC group finally chose Dapo Abiodun and asks Gov Amosun, Ogun West to back him up The Ijebu/Remo Forum, and a group within the Ogun State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC), has assured that the party’s governorship candidate, Prince Dapo Abiodun, will be fair to all sections of the state if elected in the 2019 elections.

The Ijebu/Remo Forum, has said it is only fair that the next governor of Ogun State should be elected from Ogun East, particularly Ijebu/Remo.
