Two persons sustained injuries following a collision involving two trucks at the Arepo Bridge area along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in the early hours of Sunday.
The crash, which occurred around 4 am, involved an empty American Cola truck and a Seaco truck.
The accident caused traffic gridlock along the busy highway as officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps worked to tow the affected trucks off the road.
Eyewitnesses at the scene said one of the drivers was rushed to a hospital after sustaining serious injuries.
The other driver suffered minor injuries, adding that one of the drivers sustained a fracture in his leg.
Another driver who witnessed the incident attributed the crash to waste materials allegedly left on the highway.
