On today's International Women’s Day 2026, I join women across Ogun State, Nigeria, Diaspora, and the world in celebrating all resilient women and homemaker on the powerful theme “Give To Gain.”This theme reminds us that when we invest in one another— through knowledge, opportunity, and support — we all rise together.
In Ogun State, I have seen this truth in action. During my medical mission in remote communities, I listened to mothers who walk kilometres for basic healthcare. One young woman shared how lack of access almost cost her child’s life. Her story mirrors thousands across our state, where maternal health challenges remain real. Yet, when we give support, we gain stronger families and healthier communities.
As a proud daughter of Ogun State and an aspirant for Ogun State governorship come 2027, I believe true progress begins with “Ilera Ati Itesiwaju” — health and advancement.
My global experience has taught me that empowering women is the fastest way to transform any society.
On the occasion of this year's Women’s Day, I urge every woman and ally in Ogun State: let us give our voices, skills, and time to lift one another.
