Stakeholders of the Ogun State Government have conducted an on-the-spot assessment of the ongoing Akute–Ijoko Road construction project, reaffirming the administration's commitment to delivering quality infrastructure for residents.
The inspection team, which included the Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Ade Akinsanya, APC Chairman in Ifo Local Government, Barr. Olumide Oduwole, and other government representatives, evaluated the progress of work and engaged directly with residents, commuters, and road users along the corridor.
During the visit, residents expressed optimism about the project, noting that the completed road will significantly improve transportation, boost economic activities, enhance connectivity, and raise the overall standard of living within the affected communities.
The team thanked residents for their patience, cooperation, and continued support throughout the construction period, while assuring them that the Ogun State Government remains committed to delivering durable infrastructure projects that will drive development and bring governance closer to the people.
Residents were also encouraged to embrace a strong maintenance culture to help preserve public infrastructure for future generations.
The Akute–Ijoko Road project is expected to ease traffic movement and serve as a major boost to socio-economic growth across the area.
