School Proprietor Commends Ogun Government's Policy on Modest Graduation Ceremonies

The Proprietor of Slegg Flourish Schools, Makogi, Ogun State, Mr. Pius Omolade, has applauded the Ogun State Government for promoting modest graduation ceremonies in schools, describing the policy as a step in the right direction. Speaking during the school's 3rd Valedictory and Graduation Ceremony, themed "The Release of Eagles Prepared to Do Exploits," Mr. Omolade said the government's directive has helped restore the true purpose of graduation by placing greater emphasis on academic achievement rather than extravagant celebrations. Recall that the Ogun State Government, through the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, introduced guidelines discouraging lavish graduation ceremonies in primary and secondary schools. The policy encourages schools to keep such events simple, noting that excessive celebrations place unnecessary financial pressure on parents and shift attention away from educational excellence. #OtaGossi...
