Isiaka Promises Ogun Border Towns Special Infrastructural Attention

The governorship hopeful made the declaration in Oke Aro, Ifo Constituency 11 during the second edition of an interactive session organized last weekend by members of the Ogun-Lagos Border Towns Team, where he was the guest speaker


Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, popularly called GNI, Ogun State governorship aspirant on the platform of African Democratic Congress, has reiterated his commitment to the development of border towns, especially along the Lagos Corridor, if elected in the forthcoming 2019 general election.
The governorship hopeful made the declaration in Oke Aro, Ifo Constituency 11 during the second edition of an interactive session organized last weekend by members of the Ogun-Lagos Border Towns Team, where he was the guest speaker.

The second edition of the event is coming on the heels of the successful hosting of the maiden edition held on August 26, 2018 for residents of Obafemi Owode constituency in Magbro.
According to OGLABOT Team spokesperson, Engineer Deji Olatunya: “The series was initiated for all stakeholders along the Ogun-Lagos border towns and its environs to have better interaction with GNI towards sustainable and productive infrastructural development in their areas.
In his speech, the governorship hopeful said: “Being border towns along Lagos corridor should not be a liability but asset!

“Isheri, Oke Aro, Ibaragun, Ososun, Alagbole, Akera, Agbado, Denro, Lambe, Ibraragun, Agbadkemode, Olagun, Adiyan, Oke-Oke, etc deserve special attention.”
Isiaka further assured residents and business communities around border corridors that he will leave no stone unturned for better development and infrastructural renewal of Ogun-Lagos border towns.
Speaking at the event, Chief Daniel Adegbola thanked GNI for initiating the interactive session and also assured the governorship hopeful of the constituency’s support in the forthcoming general election, but called for massive infrastructural development and provision of basic social amenities like electrification, drainages and good roads for people of Ifo local government as soon as he is elected.

The second edition of the event, which had prominent people and groups such as Community Development Associations, Mechanic Association, Baales, Small and Medium Scale Business owners, Igbo community, Hausa community, religious bodies, Pepper Seller and Grinder Association, Welders association in and around Ifo Constituency 11 in attendance.

SO-SAFE CORPS SMASHES DIESEL THEFT SYNDICATE IN ILARO, ARRESTS THREE SUSPECTS

Operatives of the Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps) have arrested three suspects allegedly involved in the theft and illegal purchase of diesel meant for a road construction project along Sokoto Road, Idogo, in Ilaro, Yewa South Local Government Area. According to the Corps, the operation followed weeks of intelligence gathering and surveillance after reports emerged that diesel allocated for the road project was being diverted and sold to a criminal network.
